Welcome to Crossroads

Think of the perfect sci-fi recipe then throw in a little bit of Arthur C. Clarke, Warren Ellis and Neil Gaiman and a hint of a Kubrick-ized Babylon 5 for good measure. That's who we are.

Crossroads is a blend of politics with action in a sci fi setting. If you like politics and more freedom to your role play, come join us on every Sunday. Scroll to the bottom for access to the rules.

Message Board

As of June 12, 2006, the CR Board is being hosted by Velvet Skies at cr.velvetskies.net.

Backup SQL files are available of the past two incarnations of the message board. However, the file sizes are simply too large to upload. That said, I am more than happy to ship it out to you on a CD, just Paypal me some postage costs on however much it'll take to get to you.

Those who live near Steph in New York may be able to receive the files on their own when I send her a copy of it soon. The SQL files can be opened up in a text editor and your posts and screen names can be searched for within it, although, the formatting will obviously be gone.

The Wiki Site

This wiki was created as a way to allow players a chance to help with the rules and edit the systems. Have an idea for a new rule? Try it out here. See a typo? Fix it. There are some pages that remain under construction that had some issues when moving from html format and other pages need to be converted into the proper wiki style. You WILL need a password to do these things but I'm happy to give it if you seem the devoted type.

You can also post your stories directly to the site and take advantage of its rich text format and editing software.

Playtimes

Typically, a team of storyline writers would lead play every Sunday starting at 9 Eastern Time (6 Pacific Time) in an AIM Chat Room titled Crossroads Station. E-mail Christine at wrenkellagh@aol.com to confirm locations and times of playing if no one is in the room at the appointed time.

Story Update

The game takes place on a space station called Crossroads 321 years in the future (just add that number to today's date).

Does the game sound familiar? It could. We played on a major forum on AOL from 2000 to 2002.

Many things have happened gamewise to the stories mentioned within these pages. So much so that we have created a crib sheet to help you get started in knowing where things stands.
